At our veterinary hospital in Girona, we specialise in the assessment and treatment of conditions affecting the nervous system of animals. We are equipped with an MRI scanner and a CT scanner, which are key to diagnosing diseases of the nervous system. These tools allow us to make rapid and accurate diagnoses of a wide range of neurological diseases. We also have a fully equipped operating theatre for performing disc hernia surgeries and other diseases of the spine and brain.
In the neurology service, we offer specialist consultations, diagnostic tests and treatment of diseases affecting the nervous system of dogs and cats, both the brain and the spinal cord. Some of the diseases we most frequently treat include epilepsies and movement disorders, cranial and spinal trauma, balance disorders, acute disc hernias, chronic spinal problems such as disc protrusions and other degenerative conditions, meningitis and brain tumours.
Our goal is to improve the quality of life of animals suffering from neurological disorders through appropriate treatment and management. We offer personalised veterinary care in close collaboration with owners to develop an individualised treatment plan. We also offer advice to fellow veterinarians who request it regarding patients with neurological problems.
